PhD research at SimLab

We are always on the lookout for high quality PhD students. Our aim is to ensure that students develop advanced research skills. 
Potential PhD applicants are required to have master's degree with excellent grades.
If you are interested in conducting a PhD at Vienna University of Technology, Interdisciplinary Centre for Spatial Simulation and Modelling [srl:sim], we ask you to send your CV and research proposal to us.


The research proposal must contain following:
- research tasks
- scope of research
- content-oriented framework
- external determining factors
- time-line
- other responsibilities.

We welcome research proposals across a broad range of research areas.

Within the first year of registration doctoral students are asked to compile a research plan. It is a more detailed, specified and extended research proposal. This research plan is submitted to the supervisor, and, if possible, to the co-supervisor(s). After approval the research plan is binding.
Doctoral students requested to take qualifying exams can only submit their research plan once they have taken all the qualifying exams.
